Zoom is a free corporate messenger that also provides audio and video calls. Its impressive assortment of features, generosity, and high-quality video is one of the best tools for business.

Interface 4.5/5

Zoom has an intuitive GUI with dominant white and blue colors. Its simplicity is a virtue as you see which buttons to push and icons to tap when you need to make an urgent business call or hastily join a conference.

When selecting a contact, you get just four options: Meet, Phone, Chat, Share. But you’ll find more functionality if you swipe the pages. And when hosting a conference, the interface will offer another few buttons: Mute, Stop Video, Share, and Participants.

Features 5-/5

Zoom is a real beast when it comes to the group calls. It can host up to 100 people for free. But keep in mind: such a call can last for 40 minutes only. But there’s no cap on a number of group calls you can arrange during 24 hours.

While hosting a conference, you can share your screen with others. You have full administrative rights during the event. Participants can be silenced (not literally), filtered, blocked, invited, etc.

Another nifty tool is annotating. There’s a full whiteboard functionality at your disposal. So, you can make notes and remarks on the documentation you share, use bright colors to energize your visual message, and so on.

Zoom doesn’t let strangers infiltrate your webinar. When you invite people, they receive a randomly generated unique conference ID. These invitations virtually say” Ok, you’re VIP” like a bouncer at a club, and no uninvited people can show up.

Usability 5+/5

With its remarkable generosity and powerful functionality, Zoom is a true gem among corporate messengers. If you need to throw a webinar, master class, lecture, meeting, brainstorm or a discussion panel — this app is your go-to.

Platforms 5/5

Zoom is super flexible as it’s available everywhere. The people you invite don’t even have to install it to be a part of a call. A browser extension and a conference ID is all they need to join in successfully.

Zoom Cloud Meetings is a wonderful app. This is why it received a Let’s Do Video Award in 2019. And this is why it has become insanely popular in the recent quarantine days. As of now, it still remains one of the top tools for online meetings.
